It's more like a huge update for the first game. Many of the hidden paths and locked-away improvements made me smile. That's why it doesn't leave the feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. The gradual unlocking of the Axiom Verge 2 map leads to several enjoyable moments of discovery. As if the developers rushed to release the game. Unfortunately, the story seems like wrapped up fast. Overall, excellent game, despite a slower pace at the start, you really get into it afterwards. I just wished the boss fights had at least some original music, because it could really upgrade the epicness of the fights against these giant robots. One change that i really surprised me was the fact that boss battles were optional, in favor of a more rewarding and interesting exploration. I also feel like the story and lore of the game was a bit more important in this sequel. The interconnected map feel more and more nice to explore after you got a certain amount of updates, the player movement is great. The combat changes seemed weird to me but you get used to it, and it feels really nice destroy giant robots with an axe and a boomerang. This guides maps have numbers within them with each number representing an item.
